Our board member, Gilbert NG Chee Hong, visited a single mother from Vietnam who is raising four children on her own. Due to her limited ability to communicate in Mandarin, she can only work in the school cafeteria where her children study, and her income is not stable or fixed. 😢
Although the school has tried to help her by applying for assistance from other charitable organizations, the financial pressures of her children’s living and educational expenses have not been fully resolved. Therefore, we at Hui Charity are raising funds to assist this single-parent family and alleviate some of their daily struggles. ❤️

Thank you to Fu Yuan Vegetarian Bukit Tinggi for generously donating the lunch boxes. We also want to express our gratitude to our volunteer team for delivering these lunch boxes to orphanages and the homeless in the Kuala Lumpur area. ❤️

[Donation Event – 30/APR/2024]
Today, we are honored to have the donation event successfully carried out, organized by our volunteer Mrs. Joanne Lim. We donated two cabinets to Sekolah Kebangsaan Ulu Yam Bharu, located in the district of Batang Beru, Selangor, to provide free food for underprivileged students at the school. The event was witnessed and contributed to by Mr. Henry Lim, Chairman of Hui Charity, Mr. Alex Lee, Vice Chairman, Ms. Kelly Phua, Committee Member, and Mrs. Javen Lee.

 

With warm hospitality from the Principal and Vice Principal, we assisted in moving the cabinets to the designated location after the school assembly.

The purpose of this event was to convey an important message: In Malaysia, we are not different because of our race; we support all schools in need, whether they are Chinese, Malay, or Indian schools.

 

Let us support and help with sincerity, without comparing, boasting, or showing off, simply fulfilling our commitments according to our capabilities. Thank you to everyone who participated, and we welcome more volunteers to join us in creating a brighter future together.
