Today, we visited Pusat Jagaan Sehati, and the situation there is truly touching.

This home not only shelters abandoned elderly individuals but also takes in many stray cats and dogs. Their monthly rent is RM1,500, but they often struggle to pay it. Fortunately, the landlord has not pressured them much. In total, their monthly expenses amount to RM6,000–RM7,000, making survival a constant challenge. 😥

The 70-year-old caretaker has been running the home for 12 years, dedicating her life to caring for 18 elderly residents and over 30 stray animals. She is a devoted Christian and started this home with a pastor, but after just one year, the pastor passed away. Later, her husband also passed away, leaving only her, her son, and her daughter-in-law to manage everything.

During the MCO period, tragedy struck again—her son was diagnosed with leukemia after receiving the vaccine and lost his job. Now, only she and her daughter-in-law are left to run the home. Due to financial struggles, she had to give up her own job to fully dedicate herself to managing the elderly home.

Their home is cluttered with many items, but these discarded goods are their only means of survival. They collect and recycle old cardboard boxes, used electronics, and other unwanted items, selling whatever they can to make ends meet. 😢

They are completely off the radar—they don’t know how to use social media to seek help. Right now, they urgently need food and daily necessities, as well as help to settle their overdue electricity bill of RM2,000.

When we asked what they needed, they did not request any money—instead, they humbly mentioned that they are in desperate need of the following essential supplies:

🍚 Rice
🥚 Eggs
🍜 Instant noodles
🥬 Vegetables (Chinese cabbage, preserved mustard greens)
🛢️ Cooking oil, oyster sauce, soy sauce
🍞 Bread, Milo, biscuits
🧼 Laundry detergent, body shampoo

We are organizing another street food distribution! ❤️

This time, our event holds even greater significance. In addition to distributing 150 vegetarian meal sets sponsored by BeQ Group Headquarters, MyMilan Milan has also generously sponsored 150 sets of bread and fruits for the homeless in need. Additionally, we distributed the mooncakes donated by the public. 🍚🍞🍎🥮

Beyond expressing our gratitude to our sponsors, we especially appreciate the business owners who personally led their teams to join our volunteers in walking through the streets and alleys of Kuala Lumpur to ensure food reached every corner where homeless individuals reside. Despite the scorching 35°C heat, what truly matters is that we were able to deliver food to those in need. ❤️

Our Hui Ge and Hui Jie accompanied SJKC KG Baru Broga to Broga Sak Dato Temple to host the ‘Clean Moon, Shared Moonlight’ event, promoting environmental awareness by using eco-friendly materials to make lanterns. This activity greatly enhanced the children’s understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival’s cultural significance. ❤️🥮

This event was very meaningful. In addition to the participation of all the school teachers and our volunteers, the school’s Parent-Teacher Association and JCI Lead Tropicana also joined in this environmental activity. Together, we walked through the Broga Sak Dato Temple, cleaning up trash, having a picnic, painting, singing, and playing interactive games. ❤️
